Our CNC Quality System & ISO 9001

What we actually do to hold your tolerances — and an honest answer on certification, because some buyers need a certificate number and we'd rather tell you the truth than bluff it.

Honest status: We run a documented quality management system built on ISO 9001 principles — but we are not currently holding an ISO 9001 certificate. If your program requires a certified supplier, we handle it through a certified partner arrangement (see below) rather than claiming a certificate we don't have.

What "ISO 9001 principles" means in our shop

ISO 9001 is a system standard, not a product standard — it's about having repeatable, documented processes so quality doesn't depend on who's at the machine that day. Here's how that shows up on the floor:

1. Incoming material control

Raw stock is checked against the order (grade, size, cert) on arrival. For medical and aerospace we use mill certificates (EN 10204 3.1) and keep lot numbers for traceability.

2. In-process checks

First piece off a setup is measured before the run continues. Critical features get checked at intervals, not just at the end — catching drift early is cheaper than scrapping a batch.

3. First Article Inspection (FAI)

For a new program, the first produced part is fully measured against the drawing and documented. You approve the FAI before production — the cheapest point to catch an error.

4. CMM verification

Critical dimensions are confirmed on a coordinate measuring machine, not by caliper alone. The quality process page shows what gets reported.

5. Final inspection & reports

100% inspection before shipment, with dimensional reports available on request and CMM + material certs for the programs that need them.

6. Nonconformance & corrective action

A part that's out of spec is quarantined, root-caused and corrected — not quietly shipped and hoped for. We'd rather tell you a batch slipped than let it reach your line.

7. Confidentiality

NDAs before drawings change hands; files stored on access-controlled systems and deleted on request. See our NDA template.

If you need a certificate number

Some programs — Class II/III medical, aerospace prime contracts — require a certified supplier on paper. We don't fake that. Where it's needed, we machine the parts inside a certified partner's quality system so your audit trail is intact, exactly as we did for the veterinary-device company in our medical-without-certification note. You get the part and the certificate; we stay honest about our own scope.

Why we publish the gap

A website that claims "ISO 9001 certified" without the certificate is a red flag buyers have learned to check. We'd rather show you the system and tell you its status. If the certificate becomes a hard requirement for your programs, tell us — we'll map the certified-partner route or discuss certification timing with you directly.

Need a quality plan for your part?

Tell us the tolerance and any cert requirement. We'll lay out the inspection plan — and the certified route if you need one — before you order.
