Instant CNC Quote — Free, No Sign-up (2D Drawing + 3D STEP)

Drop in your 2D drawing (PDF) and your 3D STEP model together. We read the material, tolerance and finish off the drawing, measure true mass and geometry from the model, match the right machining process, and show an itemised reference price — material cost, machine time and every other line item. Files are parsed in your browser and never uploaded. Unlike platforms that lock a binding price behind your email, this is a free planning estimate you can get in seconds — no account, no upload, no obligation.

✅ Free · no account needed  ·  ✅ Files stay on your device  ·  ✅ Itemised estimate — not a binding quote

Your Files

Both files are needed to quote. We auto-fill the parameters below — check them, then the price updates live.

Reference Quote

Itemised, per part. Not a binding quote.

Your Drawings, Your Control

Are My Drawings Safe Here?

Yes — and not as a promise, but by design. The moment you upload, the file is read by software running on your device. It is never sent to our server to produce the reference price. Here is exactly what happens, and what you can do to stay in control.

🔒 Parsed in your browser

Your 2D PDF and 3D STEP are opened by code running locally on your computer. The files are never transmitted to any FSCPRECISION server during the quote step.

👁 You see it, we don't

At the reference-quote stage we receive nothing — no file, no geometry. We only ever see a drawing if you choose to attach it when submitting a formal RFQ.

📊 Only anonymous stats

The tool sends a generic event (material type + quantity) to our analytics so we can improve it. No file, no geometry, no part identity ever leaves your machine.

How to protect your IP when you do share files

  • Use the instant quote first (zero risk). You get a reference price without sending us anything. Only share files when you're ready to move forward.
  • Ask for an NDA before any exchange. We sign NDAs without fuss — download our free NDA template or email info@ataimeisen.com and we'll send one.
  • Share only what the quote needs. The model + drawing are enough. Hold back the full BOM, internal part numbers and supplier names unless they matter for the quote.
  • Mark drawings "Confidential — Quote only". If a title block carries a sensitive project name, watermark it or strip it before sending.
  • Send by the channel you trust. Email files straight to info@ataimeisen.com — you control the thread, not a third-party uploader.

How the Reference Quote Is Built

Same split a real quote uses — material, machine time, setup, finish, inspection and freight as separate lines. Knowing the split matters more than the headline number, because it shows you where to push if the budget is tight.

  • Material cost is calculated from true model mass: the 3D STEP model gives real volume, density gives mass, and mass × stock price gives the line. No more guessing mass from a flat drawing.
  • Machine time scales with envelope size, geometry complexity (triangle count) and tolerance band. It is an estimate — hidden features in the model can move it.
  • Setup and programming are both free — only machine time and material drive the number, so cost scales cleanly with part size, complexity and quantity.
  • Inspection & freight appear as their own lines so nothing hides inside the unit price.

What the Tool Can't See

Real geometry

A 2D view hides depth — hole depth, wall thickness, internal cavities. Two parts the same size can differ 10x in cycle time.

Fixturing

An odd shape may need a custom fixture or 5-axis setup, changing both setup cost and how many faces you get in one hold.

Special tooling

Unusual threads, internal splines or very small diameters can need dedicated tooling the tool can't know about from a drawing.

Final confirmation

The reference number is confirmed by an engineer when you send the files — that step is what turns an estimate into a quote you can buy against.

For the full arithmetic behind these lines, see how CNC machining cost is calculated. If your number looks high, the fastest fixes are fewer setups and a looser tolerance where the function allows.

From reference to real number

Send the drawing and model and we'll quote it itemised — material, machining, setup, inspection and finishing as separate lines. If something in the design drives cost without adding function, we'll flag it in the quote.
